I’ve been busy, trying to squeeze in time for translating but I’m falling behind. >_< Hoping to revise and post. I still have to translate more chapters so I have rough drafts to work on but work and home both has stuff to do. I will try posting teasers in Patreon but those are basically rough drafts fragments.
I’m also trying to limit my in text notes, like Wuxiaworld, since it detracts from the reading experience. It’s a process!
Su Nuo gives as good as she gets! Really hate how Shen Wang is a jerk! Grade A a-hole!!
Our ML makes an appearance again!!!
Shen Wang: Shitty man, stinky words.
He is a cheap mouthed, low EQ* businessman. _ (: з ″ ∠) _.
*EQ for emotional quotient
A cute little reader said that Shen Wang is like the vicious female supporting actress in romance novels. Hahahahahahaha.
Finally, there are not many scenes about the entertainment circle. The entertainment circle is only a secondary plot line. Even if you don’t like it … I can’t delete it! !! QAQ
This chapter is a hundred red envelopes.
I love you guys, muah!
We find out more background on Su Nuo’s past transmigrations. Is it any wonder that she thinks so lowly of men based on her life experience? Hoping the male lead can change that perception.
Su Nuo being on the drums does help the army coordinate formations and relay messages. She wasn’t actively in the fight so this means that the Crown Prince specifically targeted her despite Su Nuo being a undercover spy (and therefore, trying to keep her cover) was under his orders. She has some luck with men.
Shen Wang is a complete asshole! Being discomfited and lashing out is not just cause to make light of a suicide attempt! He especially said that too to hurt her. What a complete dick! He got shocked by himself and his stinky mouth, jerk! Pa- pa! Need to smack some sense into him, MANY times!
I am so glad that Su Nuo got him back right away and we as readers, don’t need to wait forever to see justice served. Slap him more, author!!!!!!!
PSA: Suicide is NOT a light topic to be used against others!
BTW, the drink that was offered to Su Nuo is herbal tea and is manufactured by China’s equivalent of Pepsi or Coca-cola, apparently. It looks like this:
In regards to the fiercely vicious description, it actually literally translates into wolf fire. The degrees are as follows: 狠人 < 狼人 < 狼火 < 狼灭, which translates to vicious person, wolf person, wolf fire, wolf ashes. So a vicious person is your run of the mill ruthless, whereas if they are more vicious than normal, they get labeled as a wolf person. So Su Nuo got labeled as wolf fire, meaning more vicious than that! The wolf ashes label is ruthless to the utmost because the fire exploded and all that is left are ashes, lol.
I’m dang happy that Su Nuo told him to scram! Insistently and repeatedly! That’s right! POS scumbag, go away!
Our ML second appearance and she just completely blanks him, hahaha!
So 鸭舌帽 in the text literally translated into Duck-billed/tongued hat, thought this was interesting way for the Chinese to label baseball caps.
Peach blossom eyes are said to be very alluring, bedroom eyes.
This mode of address that I translate into “this master” or “this old man” (老子) is a grandiose and kind of vulgar way to address oneself. It’s been used by various other characters before. It has the connotation that one is raising oneself up in esteem either by expertise or age/experience. So keep that in mind whenever you see “this master” or “this old man” in the text. There is also a female equivalent of this, which I think should translate to “this old lady” or “this old dame.”
