This is a title of a book I guess that she is writing and then following is a summary/description of it…

TL Note:

So annoying that Shen Wang treats Su Nuo as a possession versus a living human being. A pet solely under your control is an apt description. Though I know many people truly regard their pets as part of the family and more like a fur-baby.

The sad part is that there are many people that treat their female friends, relatives or significant others like this. It is a very possessive, patriarchal and controlling trait that siscons tend to have. Oddly enough Shen Wang exhibits this and not Yuan Ze, who encouraged his sister to basically sleep around, even going so far as to actively recommend different choices.

I knew that Shen Wang would discover Su Nuo blocking him! That was in one of the first chapters! Hahaha, serves him right. Be careful what you wish for!

I noticed voice messages is a thing that Asians like to do, send over voice messages in text messages. It’s not a very American thing from my experience, where we are more familiar with the idea of voicemails. It was odd for me to see people open a chat-log just to play messages of people talking. They like to do this on the subway too for some reason. So annoying. Also, isn’t that completely contrary to the point of text messages evolving into the most predominant form of communications and preferred over phone calls???

So frigging irritating that Shen Wang so easily believes that Su Nuo would drug him like that. Ironic too that he internally accuses her of being overly trusting of others. Just dumping everything bad and all blame on Su Nuo.

I don’t really think she’s ever been described to actively do things to or against him to pursue him other than copying Meng Yiran and following him around while liking him. In fact, most of the time Shen Wang overreacts to Su Nuo’s relatively passive actions. He broke up with Meng Yiran on his own accord based on his own assumption that Su Nuo would do something to Meng Yiran. She didn’t do crap besides imitate her! Shen Wang really has something wrong with his brain. Su Nuo can only be described at most to be a bit creepy and annoying but otherwise seems to be harmless.

When I read that Zhao Yunqing’s car stopped at a hotel, I was like wait, didn’t he say he would send her home?? Like what is going on, I was wondering if he is going to take advantage of our girl, Su Nuo! That is so shady since she is still tipsy and therefore unable to consent properly!

Then I read that he was tucking her in and even explaining to her why he brought her to a hotel. So thumbs up from me! She really acts so drunk despite drinking just a gulp of alcohol. That is like my husband, he is definitely featherweight class! He is essentially allergic to alcohol. You guys that there is such a thing called the Asian glow and it predominantly affects those of Asian descent?

So hilarious that Su Nuo demands Zhao Yunqing to serve her! So Shen Wang winds up accidentally right but for the wrong reasons. This reminds me of the scene where the drunken Shen Miao propositions Xie Jing Xing, which is one of my favorite scenes in that book. Also funny that Su Nuo is propositioning Zhao Yunqing while basically looking like a hot mess with her messy hair. The way she seduced him too O.O

BTW, upward inflections make everything sound like a question, or speaking like a valley girl. I don’t really find a less awkward way to translate this.

He wanted to kiss her like before?? Some people commented that they suspect Zhao Yunqing is related to Su Nuo’s past transmigrations. I think so too! The author kept mentioning the prior enemy king, 2-3 times so far! Zhao Yunqing also was in a car accident and comatose afterwards, standard trope for transmigrators! And that “be obedient”???!

I’m shocked that Su Nuo essentially had a one night stand. Due to her reluctance with Yuan Ze’s offerings, I thought she was more prudish. I mean we know that she was with Shen Wang from the roofie incident due to her comment on his size so she is no virgin but I was not expecting that.

The better translation is friends with benefit but I couldn’t think of how to stick that in there grammatically correct so I changed to sex buddies. Fuck buddies could be used too. I felt so awful for Zhao Yunqing, it’s obvious that he is really into Su Nuo and he got rejected before he could even tell her his feelings. I wonder what hidden trauma Su Nuo has towards his past life… She doesn’t even know it’s him yet.
